Artsy Fartsy photography - Greece
I was looking over some old photographs that I took and some of them came out pretty good. I've decided to share the creme de creme. To start things off are some pictures I took in Greece a couple years ago.
Here are a few shots from a day trip we took in Delphi.

The temple of Athena at the Acropolis.

this one is from the island Hydra.

And a very strange sculpture in one of the museums we went to in Athens. They found it at the bottom of the Mediterranean sea from an ancient shipwreck. because of its position in the wreck it caused some portions of the statue to decay more than others. To me it looks like he's in a fire and melting.

Three Orchids
These are three orchid oil paintings that I had been working on. They have always been my favorite flowers ever since I used to work at the World Financial Center and they held the "Orchid Show" in between the palm trees there. They are still holding it in the sub floor of Rockerfeller center ever since the Twin Towers went down. Anyway, I used to look at the prints that they sold of the plants and felt they looked too scientific, no emotion or personality. To take a different route I approached it like I was doing a portrait along with themes that the flower seemed to display.

Three Orchids in progress
I'm nearly done with a series of three orchids that I am working on in oils. They all have very different themes and I had to approach them differently because of it. The green colored one still needs some work and I'm waiting for it to dry (oxidize) before I go any further. the other two are pretty much finished.
